Our Airplanes
Step inside the Western North Carolina Air Museum and you’ll find more than just airplanes—you’ll find living history. The collection features a unique mix of vintage, military, and classic general aviation aircraft, many of which are maintained in flying condition. From beautifully restored warbirds to rare civilian aircraft, each plane tells a story of innovation, courage, and the evolution of flight.
What makes this museum especially special is its hands-on, up-close experience. Visitors can walk right up to the aircraft, see the craftsmanship firsthand, and often meet the volunteers who restore and care for them. These aren’t static displays—they’re working pieces of history, preserved by passionate aviators who keep the spirit of flight alive right here in Hendersonville.
