Johnson Field (8NC9)

WNC Air Museum Air Strip: Located at 1340 Gilbert Street, it is a 3,000-foot even turf/grass landing strip utilized and maintained by the Western North Carolina Air Museum. Johnson Field (8NC9) runs parallel to Hendersonville Airport (0A7). There is a connector between the two, allowing planes to land on the grass field or the blacktop runway next door and taxi between the two. The airfield has restaurants, hotels, and shopping within a five-minute drive and is also very close to the historic tourist destination of Hendersonville, NC.
